Caring Ministries

Community Presbyterian Church has a strong interest in the well-being of our members and their extended families, friends and neighbors. This interest is carried out in a variety of services that are provided by groups and volunteers in the congregation – whether as organized programs or as individual initiatives.

Our Caring Programs include:

The Board of Deacons has the most comprehensive role in caring for the members of the congregation, nurturing and supporting our congregation and our community.

Older Adult Ministries focuses on the special needs of members who often are unable to participate actively in the life of the congregation.

Respite Care is available to give a break to people whose care for loved ones keeps them tied down.

Stephen Ministry provides trained lay caregivers to work one-to-one with people who need a person to stand with and by them as they work through one or more of the struggles of life.

A Visitation Ministry provides contact from the church for people who are home-bound or hospitalized.

Caring programs also exist as part of many of the other organizations at CPC.
Presbyterian Women (see under Fellowship), and Mission Sewing and Knitting (see under Missions).
