The Present Word, led by Walt King, looks at the mix of our faith and our lives in the light of scripture. Using The Present Word series as a guide, the class meets in the Parlor from September till May. During Fall 2009 the series is entitled: "Covenant Communities." The three units in the fall quarter focus on God’s covenant as made manifested in communities. The lessons consider the persons God chose to be covenant leaders, the invitations God offered to enter into community, the people’s responses to the invitations and the nature of God’s new covenant community. All are welcome.

The Men's Bible Fellowship is now the Men's Breakfast Fellowship, a name which indicates that we discuss both the Bible and other faith topics with an emphasis on fellowship. We continue to meet at Egg Harbor at 6:45 a.m. on each Tuesday morning. We welcome any CPC men who are early risers and enjoy open discussion of our faith. Beginning December 8, we are reading the novel, The Lemon Tree: An Arab, a Jew, and the heart of the Middle East by Sandy Tolan. Contact Ron Eshleman for more information.

Ongoing Programs
Faith & Film
Faith does not exist in a vacuum but must engage the culture in which it
finds itself. Our monthly Faith & Film series, as well as special topical
programs, examines ways in which faith intersects with popular culture.
Please watch this space for our next scheduled event.
