MC2 -- Mom & Child with Christ. A Ministry for moms with young children that encourages faith and spiritual development in a supportive small group atmosphere. MC2 is a committed group that meets twice a month October through May, using scripture as a guide to encourage and empower families. Topics will include: how to be mom and a person too; marriage myths and miracles; self esteem; confidence; discipline for your child; and defining a Christian home and learning how to achieve it.
While moms meet, the young child, at least two (2) years old, will be provided with Bible stories and developmental play opportunities. For more information, contact Cyndi Frost. |
Ongoing Programs
Faith & Film
Faith does not exist in a vacuum but must engage the culture in which it
finds itself. Our monthly Faith & Film series, as well as special topical
programs, examines ways in which faith intersects with popular culture.

ENHANCE YOUR SPIRITUAL JOURNEY
24 Hours that Will Change Your Life!
Covenant 24, a small group program providing opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth, is back again this fall! Covenant 24 has been a very successful program at CPC for a number of years, making a come back 2 years ago. If you have, or had at one time, children in the youth program this is like Cubes for adults.
What we need now is to find people who are interested in joining and/or leading a Covenant 24 group. Leader training will take place in September and Covenant 24 groups will begin meeting in October.
Here’s what Covenant 24 is all about:
- Covenant 24 is covenant communities of 8 to 10 people meeting in homes to discuss faith issues affecting our everyday lives (such as finding your calling, families, aging, life priorities, death and current events).
- Covenant 24 meets twice a month for 8 months (October-May). At approximately an hour and a half per meeting. It adds up to a 24 hour commitment that will change your life.
- Covenant 24 is led by members of the congregation just like you. They are trained to be small group facilitators--discussion leaders, not lecturers.
- Covenant 24 is an opportunity to learn more about God.
- Covenant 24 is an opportunity to learn more about yourself.
- Covenant 24 is an opportunity to meet new people and develop deep and meaningful relationships with other members of the congregation.
- Covenant 24 will encourage social and service activities.
- Covenant 24 meets at times that fit your schedule.
- Covenant 24 is for adults of all ages.
- Covenant 24 is for singles and couples.
- Covenant 24 will transform this congregation, bringing us closer to God and each other. 1
If the idea of belonging to a small group for fellowship and spiritual growth appeals to you, you will have a chance to sign up for “24 hours that will change your life” during the month of September! Church members interested in serving as Covenant 24 coordinators should call the Rev. Beth Hilkerbaumer or email her at beth.hilkerbaumer@chcpc.org
